I am on this!

Social Media....I am loving it! I know I have not written my blog in some time. Life, it happens. I have, however, decided to turn this into more than just about my experiences in building my business here locally, this is going to be deeper than that my friends.

What is a blog for anyway? Entertaining yourself? Entertaining the masses? Educating? I am going to use this to its fullest potential. I am not just a social media consultant! I am so many other things in this world.

Here is my favorite part of my job. I AM social. I worked in the service industry for years as a bartender, who in essence, is an entertainer. I LOVE that I can reach so many people with my words in an instant. I like the affect it has on people. I really think I should be a motivational speaker!

Here is my idea.....Each blog I post, I will add a fantastic recipe for drinks or food, maybe even a dinner spot to check out! If there is one more thing I am an expert on, its good food and good drinks!

Mini Social Media Lesson for today ~

Since it is summertime, the efforts of being online, posting on all your social media networks and blogging becomes tedious. It's SUMMER and let's face it, the computer screen is not easy to see when you are sitting on the beach! ;0) Here is what you DON'T want to do.....although it may seem easy, don't hook ALL of your social networks to the same status. If you have the same followers on all of your networks, don't bombard them with the same messages over and over. How would you like to read the same thing 5 different times? Shake it up a bit. It's like listening to someone actually repeating themselves as they tell you a story......no good.

Make a list, have several options, take time once a day, once a week, once a month. It never hurts to plan ahead. Once you start the creative process, ideas will flow. It gets easier. It helps to have someone to bounce your ideas off of or brainstorm. One of my favorite quotes, "Failing to prepare is preparing to fail." Thank you Neal.

That is today's mini lesson. Now, time for a drink! ;0) Since I am a big fan of Three Olives Vodka and summer, cheers to both! And cheers to you!
